With the rapid development of electronic technology, communication technology and information technology, using a single function electronic warfare equipment platforms in tradition not only faces growing electromagnetic environment and target threats, but its survival ability and operational performance is subject to severe challenges increasingly. In order to improve the survival rate and the integrated operational capability, battle platform has to equip with more and more of the electronic equipment, such as, radar, electronic warfare and communication equipments. However, these equipments will not only increase the consumption and occupy more space, but also raise the cost and weight, impair the battle platform mobility, bring a series of problems, and severely impact on the comprehensive countermeasures ability and the operational efficiency of battle platform under modern electromagnetic environment. Therefore, the exploration and study of modern electronic equipment, combat platform, the comprehensive integration of many technical problems, not only to help the different types of electronic equipment for different uses combine to facilitate real-time coordination and control of combat platforms, electronic devices work, reasonable allocation of system resources, but also help to achieve universal equipment new, compact and multifunctional. This expansion of our military platforms and equipment applications, the raising of platforms and electronic equipment, overall combat effectiveness, reliability, maintainability, will be of great practical significance.The purpose of this article is to explore and research in maintaining or rarely affect radar system performance, under the precondition of using the software radio technology, communication function loads into the radar system, so as to realize the integration of the radar and communication system design, and through modeling and simulation, explain radar with comprehensive communication equipment integrated design is feasible. The main content included in the following aspects:(1) Analyzes the research status at home and abroad about radar and communication integration system, expounds the feasibility of radar-communication integration design and integrated system design conception plan.(2) Analysis of typical radar signal ambiguity functions and typical modulation of communication signals. A form of radar-communication integration signals is presented, the computer simulation shows it can realize integration function.(3) Has studied the radar communication integration signal separation technology, the tow kinds of product signal separating methods, homomorphic filtering based on partial time-domain coherence analysis and homomorphic filtering base on blind source separate (BSS) ,are explored , and has carried on the simulation experiment. The experiment indicated that, the method of homomorphic filtering based on BSS is more ideal. It may uses the more general condition, but the partial time-domain method needs two signal mutual orthogonally , the condition realizes with difficulty.(4) Analyzes the detection performance and communication performance that the signal after separated , further from radar and communication, analyses both the performance of the mutual influence. Further evidence of radar communications integration design is feasible and effective.
