The future wireless communication research will focus on high carrier frequency, high data volume and high motion speed. Multi-carrier Code Division Multiple Access (MC-CDMA) integrates with the advantage of Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM) and Code Division Multiple Access (MC-CDMA), can transform broadband frequency selective fading into sub-carriers on flat channel. This technology has many advantages such as high flexibility, high frequency spectrum utilization rate and effectual defense of the frequency selective fading. The technique of channel estimation based on pilots, could produce the entire channel response via responses of pilots in sub-channels. This technique is a practical method which has good feedback of changes in channel tracking, and also has good error performance in certain complexity condition. In this paper, the principles and features of OFDM system, CDMA system and MC-CDMA system are firstly research and compared. Then, the characteristics of wireless transmission channel is analyzed and the MC-CDMA channel models has been discussed. In Chapter four, channel estimation method based on pilots in MC-CDMA system, arrangement of pilot-symbols, and analysis of multiple interpolation ways are studied. Finally, the computer simulation is completed. Also, pilots under different quantities and channel estimation of different pilot-symbols arrangement are analyzed. Interpolation technique of channel estimation using comb pilot arrangement is put emphasis. Using Interpolation based on transform domain and its modified methods in MC-CDMA channel estimation arrangement are finally educed to have more advantages in performance and it is easy to complete. The research work and full text are summarized at last, as well as the expectation of the future...
