A Kind Of Method Of Increasing Cognitive Function In GSM Network And Simulation

The rapid development of communication in our country highlights the scarce resources of spectrum. Because of lack of spectrum resources, we should be more reasonable in using them. The cognitive radio was put forward in this background. The situation of communication in China was that a variety of access network coexist, and the GSM network has been use many years and it owns most users. Therefore, we put cognitive radio thoughts in the application of the GSM network for improving utilization rate of spectrum. It can solve the problem of the spectrum short in theory. This paper puts forward a set of solution. We add entities in GSM system and modify communication protocol in the upper level so that complete the cognitive function in GSM network. And on this basis, we also develop a software to prove the correctness of this method.
