Quantum Information is a new interdisciplinary subject, which is a combination ofquantum theory, information science and computer science in the last 20 years. Sincethe quantum communication is toward the practical using and networking, we focus onthe key technologies of the quantum communication network -- the generation ofquasi-single-photon sources and routing of photons.In the basis of quantum experiment platform in our team, we have accomplishedthe improvements of the quantum router, the preparation of quasi-single- photon sourceand the method of single photon routing.Firstly, the hardware structure of quantum router is introduced, the optical crossingmodule of which is improved.Secondly, we finished the embedded linux operating system and the webapplications of the quantum router.Thirdly, we built the quasi single photon sources ,which is made of precise delaycircuit,high-speed logic circuit and pulse- amplifier. The pluse is 500ps in width, 1.5Vin amplitude and 50MHz in frequency. We used it to drive the laser-diode to produce thenarrow pulses that are used in the preparation of the quasi-single-photon sources.Fourthly,we built a network platform for experiments,we tested the performanceof the single photon source and routing. The results show that this quantum switch andsingle photon source can meet the demand for quantum communication network.Finally, some ideas and suggestions are brought forward for the further work toovercome the limitation of existing system.
