Along with the fast growing of China's game industry and the technical breakthrough in web application, Web Game which can be played easily without download any client application develop rapidly to become the important part of the Online Games industry, its market share is expanding constantly. Especially MMORPG (massively multiplayer online role-playing game) is welcomed by more and more players. How to design and realize a stable, flexible web MMORPG based on existing technology is the main purpose of this paper.Firstly, this thesis discribes the research status of network game developing, than elaborates the theory and related technologies of Web Game development, including RIA technology, FLEX and J2EE framework design; Secondly, this thesis which is based on the software engineering idea contains requirement analysis, design of framework, server and client development and design, and system test to expound the design and implementation process of web MMORPG. The paper also analyze the key technologies of Web Game,such as the communication between client and server, path finding algorithm, resource loading and management, scene rendering etc. Also implement these key points in actual project. Finally, there is the working summary and prospect of the paper studying.The major contribution of this paper displays contain these parts:1. Using B/S design and no-client online game design concept, design and realize a multiplayer online web games based on FLEX and J2EE.2. Combine Hibernate, FLEX, Spring, Mina etc open-source framework together to build a stable,clear development framework for web game.3. For the key points of Web Game development, such as Path Finding systems, Communication Mechanis between client and server, the loading and management of resource, Scene Rendering etc, make research and practice on them to make more progress.
