The Design And Implementation Of Harbin Bank Short Message Service Platform

With the development of mobile communication technology and deepening process of commercialization on Chinese financial market, the competition between banks is becoming increasingly fierce. To expand their service modes, promote their brands and consolidate customers'loyalty, banks are seeking new ways to provide better services. As a new financial service channel, short message service (SMS) platform has emerged, which combine financial services and mobile communication technology. The channel of SMS platform can be very effective in improving customer experience and bringing banks and their customers closer. This platform system provides a good communication channel between banks and customers can be applied to various bank businesses due to its features, instant, convenient, low cost, simple operation. This system can be integrated with internal sub-systems in Harbin bank, such as CRM, OA, employee service system, VIP service, and comprehensive service system, etc., increasing work efficiency and reducing cost.This paper uses a three-layer software structure of Struts based on JSP. With technologies of Web Service, Proxool connection pool, Socket communication, XML resolving, selecting DB2 database, a bank SMS platform is designed and implemented which can adapt to the needs for developing of bank businesses, enriching banking services, improving the service level. Function expansibility and maintenance convenience are considered in designing process. The operation platform type, application server, programming languages and database will follow the rule of generality and openness, so as to reduce the difficulty in follow-up functional enhancement and modification, and second-time development and maintenance due to changes in maintenance service supplier.This system designed and realized a close communication method between the bank and customer. Downlink services (SMS plat fonn to mobile phone), including notice on account changes, promotion on new financial products, reminding on loan expiration date are served for signing customers; Customers also enjoy uplink services through the SMS platform, inquiring about account balances, interest rates, transaction details, account transfer, payment on intermediate.This paper also analyzes the current situation on research and development on related system, describes the business requirements for the SMS platform of Harbin bank; System architecture designing and the overall situation are illustrated generally, while designing, implementing and testing on system database are described in detail.The SMS platform described in this paper, meets the design requirements, and has achieved good effect used in Harbin Bank, through the complete system function and performance test. The system's data standard, developed specially for the bank businesses, with very good universality in the banking industry, has laid a good foundation for future system access and functional expansion.
