With the fast development of internet technique and the proliferation of informationization, people are arguing for highly centralized and efficient computer software to boost the effectivity of the production and social life more than just the single incompact office services. To cater for this kind of requirement, the workflow technology has been highlighted and developed for many years.Workflow management system (WFMS) as a kind of software which is designed for offering a platform for workflow definition, management and execution, has been researched and put into practice in different ways. Playing an essential part in WFMS, the management platform is in charge of the organization contribution, system supervision, management and data statistics, which reflects the performance of various entities in the entire system, reminds the managers of the possible dangers and mistakes and makes significant contribution in procedure reform. Whereas, the key object for the management platform to focus on is the system performance. As a result, this thesis summarizes the performance calculation and analyzing methods as well as highlighting the importance of the data, and provides the arithmetic of the performance statistics based on vast reference of studying in workflow technology domestically and abroad.Task distribution of workflow management system plays a crucial role in workflow dispatching, which apparently is also the premise for the efficiency and productivity of WFMS execution as a whole. This essay focuses on the synthesis of the performance features that effect the task execution, offering a dependable algorithm mechanism for performance analyzing, based on which, a highly effective method for task distribution and authority delegation is provided.A management platform of WFMS was designed and implemented in this thesis, which dose not only directly illustrate the performance of the workflow processes and the instances in WFMS, but also exhibits the task load and the productivity of each resource. At the same time, this platform offers an efficient method for management control of the organization as well as calculating and analyzing the log record to pick up the useful information that indicates the accuracy and rationality of the procedure definitions thereby provide the reference data for distributing the tasks in a highly effective way. Additionally, by this platform, the execution result can represent the significance of the task allocation strategy in this thesis.
