Enlightened by the development and the advantages of MIMO technology,the concept of MIMO radar has been proposed by radar designers recently.More and more attention has been paid to the development and the future of MIMO radar.However the study is still in the primary stage home and abroad.Unlike beamforming which assumes that signals at transmitters and receivers arehighly correlated,MIMO radar concept explores independence between signals at theboth the transmitting and receiving arrays which consist of multiple omni-directionalantennas with different phase centers.Independence between signals leads to someunique advantages for MIMO radar,such as the constant Radar Cross Section(RCS)oftargets,significantly decreasing the signal fading.Radar detection ability is improvedby the obtained diversity gains.At present, research of MIMO radar mainly focus on active direction of arrival, target detection performance analysis , waveform design , multi-channel signal model and so on.This paper mainly study on direction of arrival of MIMO radar, and the main research work completed as follows:1:When the model of MIMO radar signal is uniform linear array and double-base, this paper presents method of MIMO direction of arrival estimation under the background of Gaussian color noise based on higher order cumulant and minimum norm algorithm, we can estimate the direction of departure and direction of arrival, simulation results show the proposed method exhibits good estimation performance ,and the estimation performance is superior to the performance when use MUSIC algorithm,moreover, the amount of calculation of minimum norm algorithm is much smaller than MUSIC algorithm.2:When the model of MIMO radar signal is uniform circular array and double-base, this paper present method of MIMO direction of arrival estimation under the background of Gaussian color noise based on higher order cumulant and minimum norm algorithm, we can estimate the elevation angle and aspect angle, simulation results show the proposed method exhibits good estimation performance ,and the estimation performance is superior to the performance when use MUSIC algorithm,besides,the estimation performance is superior to the performance when the model of MIMO radar signal is uniform linear array .3:When the model of MIMO radar signal is uniform linear array and double-base, this paper present method of MIMO direction of arrival based on matrix pencil algorithm,we can detect the transmit and receive angle of target signal. simulation results show the proposed method exhibits good estimation performance ,and the estimation performance is superior to the performance when use MUSIC algorithm, moreover, the amount of calculation of matrix pencil algorithm is smaller than MUSIC algorithm...
