Research And Realization On Images Information Hiding Technique

With the rapid development of the network and the multimedia technology, Applications and dissemination of information have become the important parts of daily life. On the one hand, the information technology brings convenience for people; on the other hand, the stealing and destruction of some information have caused losses to community seriously. How to ensure the use and dissemination of information in the security has become an important research topic in the field of information security. The traditional information security solution is to encrypt the secret information to protect important information through encryption algorithm. However, cracking encryption algorithm is possible, under case of the strength of computing and processing capacities of computers. Consequently, it is urgently imminent to looking for a new information security technology.Information hiding technology has changed the thinking of the past, security technology, it exists secret communication in the way, as compared with traditional encryption, which can hide important information communication and the presence of both parties. In simple terms, it is based on human visual and auditory sense of multimedia information systems redundancy algorithm will be embedded by hiding secret information in this redundancy in order to achieve the purpose of hiding the embedded message in the multimedia and human beings are unable to distinguish between the original multimedia. This technology in the communication process, to the attacker can not find the secret information, because he can not feel the existence of secret information, not to mention steal secret information.There are two major disciplines of information hiding branches; information secret and digital watermarking. Information is mainly used for important information hidden secret transmission, communications security and secrecy is the key. The digital watermarking is mainly used for property protection, the carrier of property information embedded object; this process requires a strong robustness and invisibility.Thesis describes the research background and applications of the information hiding technology, while the current development status and realizes ideas. Besides introducing the basic model of information hiding,basic attributes,hiding algorithm evaluation criteria and safety analysis. Second thoughts on the image preprocessing algorithms and experimental results are analyzed, and from the image both spatial and transform domain information hiding algorithm research conducted in-depth research and discovery algorithm strengths and weaknesses. Finally, proposed an improved algorithm, improved the traditional direct 4bit algorithm and LSB algorithm, the improved algorithm memory capacity more than the LSB algorithm, and modified less than a direct 4bit algorithm, experiments show that this algorithm improves the safety and Robustness. In this thesis, all the algorithm design and experiments are carried out in the matlab simulation platform.
