Research On Key Technology Of Stream Media Service Cluster

With the rapid development of multimedia technology and networks, the streaming media applications become increasingly deeper and broader. Therefore, research and design of stream media service system are urgently needed. Although the current vendors have released some solutions, there are still several disadvantages, such as high cost, lack of openness. These solutions are inflexible and have a low performance-and-price ratio. In many situations, it is hard to meet the demand of the application requirements.The existing streaming media technology and cluster technology are analyzed firstly in this paper. Then the characteristics and tendency of the development of stream media service system are discussed. The advantage to build the stream media service system based on cluster technology is explained. At last, a streaming media system solution with a high performance and low cost is put forward. overall architecture design of the system, load balancing strategy and the stream data storage strategy are analyzed intensively.
