Research Of Spectrum Sensing And Management Technology In Cognitive Radio Communication System

With the rapid development of wireless communication technology, spectrum resource has been more widely used and the problem of poor spectrum resource utilization has become more and more serious, the scarceness of radio spectrum hampers the continual development of wireless communications. Cognitive radio can provide a feasible method for alleviating conflict between the lack of spectrum resources and the growing demand of wireless spectrum through reusing the authorized spectrum. Therefore, cognitive radio has become a research hot topic of wireless communications field recently. Spectrum sensing is the most basic and the most important part of cognitive radio, only if the spectrum utilization status is detected accurately, we can develop the cognitive radio service effectively. In this paper, with the aim of effectively use and manage the precious spectrum resource, we mainly discuss the technologies of spectrum sensing, resource management, etc.Firstly,this article briefly introduces the concepts, research areas and key technologies of the cognitive radio. Based on these, we do some researches on spectrum sensing technologies of cognitive radio. Then we design a specific project for the management of cognitive radio spectrum resource using the USRP platform. Followed by which we focus on designing to implement the spectrum sensing of cognitive radio and based on the spectrum sensing algorithm, the real wireless environment frequency band from 30 to 512MHz is actually measured and statistically analyzed, which not only tests and verifies the correctness of our algorithm, but also shows that there exists a lot of spectrum resources can be reused in the outside environment, providing a more favorable guarantee for the application of cognitive radio. Finally, according to the statistical analytical results, an environmental signal simulator is designed to meet the demand of entire system.
