As the rapid development of information technology and network technology, embedded systems are increasingly widely used in scientific research, military technology, engineering, consumer electronics and so on. The study of embedded systems is related to various aspects of computer science.This paper studies the characteristics of embedded systems, applications and developments, discusses the development method of embedded systems and analyzes the ARM processor modes, register set and distribution. From the application point of view, a more detailed analysis of the utu2410-F development board for embedded systems hardware platform is given.On the basis of researching of embedded Linux system's construction, a cross-compiler environment is built in the host, BOOTP, TFTP and minicom are configured, and the embedded system software development platform is set up. Theories and techniques related to BootLoader are discussed, and the root file system generation and Linux kernel cutting and transplantation in the utu2410-F-board embedded Linux applications are studied.The key data structures of the device driver are analyzed in this paper, the deivce driver programme's development method, process and loading way are discussed. The infrared photoelectric switch on the development board, Frame Buffer and touch screen driver design and implementation are completed. For application of embedded systems, this paper has a certain reference value.
