Design Of Web-based Examination System

Modern technology has brought new opportunity to the development of education, and many schools have established the campus network, so how to make better use of these resources has become a new subject for the educational reform. In this background, the online examination system, which is significant to the educational reform, becomes true. This system not only makes full use of present network resources, but also combines with modern computer technology, and changes the traditional examination methods.Firstly, this paper introduces the significance of the online examination system, analyzes the disadvantages of present system, and gives some advice for improvements. Secondly, key technologies and tools such as ASP.NET, SQL Server and C# are introduced. Directed by Object Oriented Software Engineering methodology, such diagrams as use case diagram, sequence diagram, activity diagram have been designed with Unified Modeling Language. On the basis of object-oriented analysis, analyzes the data of the system and the relationship among all kinds of data, and provides concept diagram, E-R diagram and physical diagram of the system. According to the principle of database design, it finds out relational database tables, views and stored procedures for the system. Finally, it shows part codes, the algorithm of random extracting questions, the security mechanisms of the system and how to realize the system, and according to the latest technology gives some proposals for further improvement.
