In the detection of weak moving targets, such as stealth aircraft,cruise missiles, SNR comes down dramatically due to the reduction of their RCS, the targets are difficult to be detect reliably by radar in traditional methods. The long-time integration(LTI) is one of the improved methods in signal processing, but in the long-time integration, range migration and and Doppler frequency time-varying may be caused by target's movement.On this background, the method of long-time integration based on segmental treatment is presented in the context, using coherent integration within segments combined with non-coherent integration among segments and the compensation for range migration. The theory and the capability of improvement in SNR of coherent integration and non-coherent integration are analyzed, the feasibility of segmental treatment is validated by emulation and the disposal result of pratical data. According to the analysis of theory and the parameters of a project, the design and realization of the hardware about this algorithms is completed, data transmission with high-speed among chips of DSP and boards is realized at the same time. In the software implement, distribution of assignment, the signal processing flow, analyse of the storage and timing are introduced mainly. The result of experimentation makes out that the long-time integration based on segmental treatment has well effect, the detection of the weak target can be realized availably.
