Protection Study Of The Intellectual Property Rights For Digital Archives

Along with the rapid development of Computer technology, Network technology and Communication technology, the construction and development of archives will be confronted with new opportunities and challenges. In order to break through the restriction of traditional way of thinking and behavior, Network information technology is a must. Whether the archive is active or passive, it should adapt to the information-numbered new surrounding. Of course, such a development is an inevitably tendency nowadays. Archives fall into the category of Intellectual property rights, so the protection of intellectual property rights will become the major theme which remains to be of concern.Up to now, our country in this regard is still in the exploratory stage. Limitation of the archives secrecy, the uniform format of the archives and technical procedure lead to the distribution of the archives. Digital resources sharing of the archives are hard to achieve. In this paper, technical specification and a new means to protect IPR (Intelligence Properties Right) are discussed in detail. By doing research on the process of digitizing the archive and the traditional theory of intellectual property, we offered some relevant countermeasures and a way of protect IPR in digital archives, which can arouse the attention of everyone and being used for reference. In this way we can push the trend that the digital archives to fit the international circumstance forward, so as to protect IPR.This paper wants to pay close attention to the relationship between the states of Internet intellectual property and digital archives, through trying to find a research method which consists of philosophy, ethics, law.
