As the quick change of the business environment and constant innovation in IT technology, more and more legacy systems come to a crisis, they have to do some changes to adapt themselves to the new surroundings. In order to change the embarrassing situation, a lot of solutions have popped up since the nineties of the 20th century. In summary, most of the researches are focused on two aspects:Legacy System Reengineering and Legacy System Encapsulation.Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) provides a new solution for encapsulating legacy systems and provides them with the ability to support distributed request. But due to the limitation of technology and architecture involved, issues such as Non-support of a multi-threaded environment, Memory Leaking, Non-support of parallel environment still exist in some of the legacy systems, which restrict their application and extendibility immensely.In order to resolve these issues, we propose and implement an efficient and feasible parallel architecture through analyzing and researching the communication mechanism of WCF service and the characteristics of legacy systems. We design a parallel architecture in Single-Machine at first; it can solve the issues above perfectly. After that, we design a similar architecture which can be applied in cluster and can solve the performance limitation in Single-Machine. And then we discuss its commonality in a high level, in hope of applying it in different services and different situations smoothly. The above proposed architecture achieves a good result and already applies in a large financial system, which proves that this parallel architecture possess favorable engineering value.
