The Research On The Third Person Effect On The Network

As one part of the effect research in communication, the third-person effect plays a irreplaceable role in making the theory of communication perfect, guiding the social practice, settling the social problem and so on. As a representative theory which confirm the effect of media, the third-person effect has its own special perspective and significance that makes it attention.Chen Lidan said frankly that the research on communication in our country has its own problem, the researcher were accustomed to use the ready hypothesis but unknown how it comes. The phenomenon stays common and i will try the best to avoid it. The object of this research is the violence information on web, through which to test and verify whether the third-person effect was exist on web environment. The main frame is as follows:The first part summarizes the background of the question, the significance and the method of this research. The second part defines the key concepts, and elaborates the correlation theories of this research. In the third chapter, it reviews the related studies. In the fourth chapter, it analyses the data from the questionnaire to test and verify the hypothesis, we try to gather up and generalize the new features, analyze the reasons. The fifth chapter is the general discussion, through this part we try to find the ways to reduce the hazards brought by the violence information, such as improve the ways of communication, change the methods and so on.The results of this study indicated:The undergraduate confirm that the violence information make more effect on others, even so, they agree to control it. The extent of the violence information was proved has great connection with the third-person effect, but the other factors such as sexy and economics were not proved in the article.
