Since there are Internet ,the network security becomes the most important question which the users must face.Now ,the firewall becomes the most widely technology in the network protective system ,Intrusion Detection is complement of firwall ,it can deal with the attact of network and expand the capacity of management of administrator ,so it improve the integrality of the function of network security system.In last 10 years ,the efficiency of data processing and the effective of the firewall is the most challenged problem at the network protective area.With the deep research in the area ,there are many firewall technology have been brought.But the data of network is large and the speed of the network is high ,so the software protective system is too slow to meet real-time detection ,and the actual cost of the trandition hardware securitu system is to large and its architecture is too complex.In order to overcone the disadvantages of current system, this paper presented the network protective system design based on FPGA which through the analysis of the network protective system and Stanford NetFPGA plaltform,include standardization data pipline ,register pipline ,the configurable hardware filter module and hardware string matchinghuan ,etc.In detail ,the main works include:The architecture of the reference project of NetFPGA are introduced ,and the router reference project of NetFPGA has been introduced in detail.Based on the reference router project ,this paper gives a software configurable network protective system and analyze the architecture and principle of work.The paper also analyze the hardware filter module ,the data application analyze module and host computer software in detail.And in the hardware system design ,the whole design is divied into several sub-modules from top down ,so the paper introduce each sub-module design in detal.Finally ,this paper introduces the system get through the test in the real network and analyze the result,it showed that the system design realized all function of this project and it can run at real-time.The application prospect of the network protective system based on FPGA,it can be used in many domain such as army,government and big companys.Also it has a good commercial value as well as prompt industrializion and it has great meaning to network information security.
