Space deformation has been widely applied to geometric modeling and computer animation. Many deformation methods have been proposed since 1980'0. How to achieve efficient and intuitive deformation control is the important topic in space deformation research. In recent years, various deformation methods have already to allow users to manipulate the model intuitively and interactively, and have got good results.In this paper, we summarize the current deformation methods, especially surface deformation methods which are based on differential coordinates and the deformation approach which are based on the bounding box. In additional, we give the Green coordinates intensively study. The coordinates are motivated by Green's third integral identity and respect both the vertices position and faces orientation of the cage, such that Green Coordinates lead to space deformations with a shape-preserving property.In order to make deformation intuitively, in this paper, we build upon the local differences of Green coordinates and propose a method to deform a shape. This method can manipulate the model directly. Moreover, we set up an influence region to confine the deformation in a local area, reducing the deformation process of the grid number iteratively.
