For a long time, the religious work has always been an important part of the workof the Communist Party of China in Tibet. Actively guiding Tibetan Buddhism to adaptto our socialist society plays a very important role in maintaining the unity of themotherland, promoting national unity and constructing a socialist harmonious society. In the "theocracy" feudal serfdom of old Tibet, Tibetan Buddhism belongs to themainstream ideology. After the Communist Party of China liberates Tibet peacefully,Tibetan Buddhism has experienced the Democratic Reform, the Cultural Revolution, and the Reform and Opening-up. There is a process of evolution of the CommunistParty of China’s religious policies in Tibet. During the early period of the peacefulliberation of Tibet, the Communist Party of China seriously puts forward the religiouspolicy which includes "respecting the beliefs of Tibetan, protecting Tibetan Buddhisttemples and maintaining the original religious system"; during the period of theDemocratic Reform, the policy including "abolition of feudal privileges and religioussystem of exploitation and oppression, the overthrow of the feudal serfdom undertheocracy, and the achievement of secularism " was determined; after the Reform andOpening-up, the policy that is "continuing to implement the policy of freedom ofreligious belief and actively guide religions to adapt to socialist society " was practiced. Our policy of religious freedom provisions stipulates that the Chinese Communistsmust be sure that they are atheists and should adhere to the scientific worldview. As theParty organ of the Tibet Autonomous Region,"Tibet Daily" must be bound to atheismeducation and mainly emphasize scientific worldview in terms of media coverage. Therefore, this paper defines religious reports as reports that involving religion, whichincludes those reports including keywords like "temple","religion","Lama", etc. andpictures that are religion-based.This paper, which based on the framing theory, analyzes the religious report of"Tibet Daily"(Chinese version) from April1956to April2013, combining with thehistorical process of the development of religion in Tibet.
