Adaptation And Interaction: Global Health Diplomacy And China 's Role Analysis

Health Diplomacy as a mode of diplomacy of a professional field, recent years ithas gained much attention. Along with the increase of health diplomacy activitiesinternationally and the deepening development of relevant research and discussion,health diplomacy has produced some results in research and rich review of practiceand experience. China has carried out international health cooperation but not hasbuilt up dedicated policy in health diplomacy; therefore a large space of developmentis left in the policy making, theoretical research and real practice.This thesis first reviewed the history and concept of health diplomacy,synthesized the aspects of the concept and inferred health diplomacy has the traits ofmultilateralism as multilateral negotiation is the significant tool and method toaccomplish goals of health diplomacy. And then it did an analysis in the concepts“global health” and “global health diplomacy” to further analyze that to reach equalityand global converging of health in all the countries, much work should be doneinternationally and within countries. Theoretically speaking, the thesis thinks thathealth diplomacy has its own global feature, as health diplomacy started to view anddiscuss questions from the global perspective. Therefore, health diplomacy has growninto an inherent global feature in policy making, initiatives and the raising andsolution of questions. This article after reviewing the multilateralism and globalfeature of health diplomacy, it gives the rest part to further discuss how Chinaparticipated and should behave better in health diplomacy in the second chapter. Andchapter3it discusses the health cooperation in health workforce developed by Chinato note that the development of health diplomacy still has much space. And the forthchapter is about the challenges and questions need to be faced in the future by Chinaand Global Community. And finally it concluds as China should establish healthdiplomacy policy or strategy on basis of a solid regional network of cooperation andto develop health diplomacy into a new period.
