Myanmar is a small country in Southeast Asia. From a geopolitical point of view, Myanmar has important strategic significance to China. Myanmar’s location is very important. It’s on the north of the border with China and the west, next to India; both of the countries play a very important role in the region. China owns the channel leading to the Indian Ocean through Myanmar, and needs to promote the southwest regional economic development and border security by the channel. Special friendly relations and cooperation between China and Myanmar have long maintained, but with the advance of the process of democratization in Myanmar, its domestic and foreign policies have undergone a change. Myanmar is gradually weakening close relations with China, and takes the initiative to seek reconciliation of relations with the United States and other Western countries, trying to achieve the elimination of sanctions and improve the Economic development by the Balance of Powers. Myanmar will continue to promote the reform of democratization, and the direction of reform is still a multi-party parliamentary democracy, the market economy and domestic political stability of the macro-control. Myanmar as a case to analyze, I start from building the theoretical framework and analysis the third wave of democratization whose characteristics are compromise, elections, non-violence. And in this context the impact of international factors on democratization of small and medium-sized countries, summarizes the democratization of foreign policy affect small and medium-sized countries.The paper focuses on the analysis of the democratization process of Myanmar’s foreign policy. As the research object refer to Myanmar who is on the way to democracy. The analysis from the point of view of the international environment and domestic situation, the democratization of Myanmar summarizes the changes in foreign policy, Myanmar foreign policy guiding ideology, objectives, important content. On this basis, the authors conducted a study of the Sino-Burmese relations further analysis, first summarized the changes in the Myanmar government and the opposition political discourse; followed by combination of sensitive events in China-Myanmar relations in recent years, the use of the methods of case analysis, analysis of the current Myanmar and China alienated reality performance; then further analysis Myanmar gradually alienated from the history and reality of the root causes of the Chinese policy. In addition, from the point of view of the national interest, the choice of the foreign policy of the democratization processes in Myanmar analysis.Finally, in the reality of Western countries output the values to the small and medium-sized developing countries,how Chinese deal with these small and medium-sized developing countries whose foreign policies are changing. The article also puts forward suggestions.
