| As enviroment continuously deteriorates,The principle of sustainable development get more and more attention and become an important academic topic.In order to get certain binding,the principle of sustainable development only base on legislation.The principle of Sustainable development are confirmed with several international environmental conferences and international documents.After getting cited by the international court of justice and practiced by countries,the principle has very high status and more findings.The prominent place of the thesis is to discuss the significance and legal status of the principle of sustainable development, in order to develop and complete the principle of sustainable development.Firstly, the forming process of the principle of sustainable development will be described in detail by introducing the history of the formation, indicating that the content of the principle of sustainable development constantly get rich development. Secondly,the article focuses on the status of the sustainable development principle in international environmental law,analyzing the relationship between the principle of sustainable development and several other principles of international environmental law.
