Therefore, this paper aims to explore the protection ofgeographical indications of the direction of development in Guizhou Province andspecific measures, it’s better to the development of the intellectual property system ofgeographical indications in Guizhou, enhance the protection and use of the mainmarket awareness of intellectual property rights, culture the well-known brands withindependent intellectual property rights of competitive enterprises, improve level ofagricultural industrialization, and achieve economic and social development.Guizhou Province is a multi-ethnic province, which is located in the eastern partof the Yunnan-Guizhou Plateau, subtropical humid monsoon climate zone, has manykinds of biological resources and national cultural heritage. Its unique geographicalenvironment and human conditions gave birth to the rich resources of geographicalindications. Up to June2013, Guizhou Province approved a total of80kinds ofGeographical Indications products through our two kinds of Geographical Indicationsprotection system. Overall it seems, Guizhou protection of geographical indicationscareer into the fast growing, the number of Geographical Indications products isincreasing.
