Hindi Saying And Indian Culture

Taking Hindi proverbs as the topic of our study, this thesis adopts the methods of cultural linguistics and other across-subject theory. The whole work falls into five chapters.Chapter 1 is an introduction, this chapter reviews the previous researches concerning the Hindi proverbs, and makes a brief introduction of the theories used in this research. Chapter 2 investigates the phonic characteristic, syntactic structure and rhetoric of Hindi proverbs. Chapter 3 mainly discusses the relationship between the vocabulary of Hindi proverbs and Indian culture. Chapter 4 focus on the relationship between the content of Hindi proverbs and Indian culture. At the end of this thesis a general conclusion has been made, and some problems are been pointed.
