Environmental, cultural and historical characteristics lead to different way of thinking and different aesthetic standardsbetween Chinese and Western people. This essay attempts to express my comparison in art creative approaches of Chinese paintings and West paintings and the influence to my paintings. The paper also illustrates that the interaction between Chinese and western culture plays an essential role in expanding Chinese fine brush flower-and-bird painting.
