A Study On The Language Of Dialect Island In Tongjiang (Three Villages And Towns)

Tongjiang(Sancun Town) is a dialect island located in the northeast of Heilongjiang Province, within which the dialect for communication belongs to Jiaoliao mandarin. With the original dialectal material from the field works, we have given a through description of Tongjiang(Sancun Town) dialect’s phonologic system, involving its characteristic vocabulary and part of the grammar.This thesis consists of four chapters. Chapter II to chapter IV is the main part. The first chapter is the introduction to the basic situation of Tongjiang(Sancun Town), research overview of the Tongjiang(Sancun Town) dialect island, as well as the material, methods, objectives and significance of the research. Chapter II is about the phonetic system of Tongjiang dialect. It summarizes the initial consonant, vowels, and tone system of Tongjiang(Sancun Town) dialect and generalizes the phonological features of Tongjiang(Sancun Town) dialect through the comparison with the phonetic system of Qieyun.We also compares it with the phonetic system of emigration area Anqiu. Chapter III deals with the making statistics and analysis of Tongjiang(Sancun Town) dialect’s characteristics on vocabulary.The last Chapter refer to Tongjiang(Sancun Town) dialect’s characteristics on word-formation, it describes the word-building methods such as the reduplication and affix.
