Peyton’s portraits have the exquisite beauty and fashion sense with her own specially appreciated to make this memorable works. This pictures like a "history of image", each one writes a private、intimate story which shown us like a biography so fresh and moving Payton’s works influence from the classical literature and masters, and on the basis of classical art heritage she try to make innovation. Her works both have classical spirit and have the modern fashionable. She makes the classical and modern nature as a whole. The modernity of the painting’s theme and method, however, is also a part of the history continued. She has injected the new life to the ancient art of portraiture. So I think Peyton create a "eternal life" portrait, establishment a new form of the portraiture category, her paintings sign the turning point of the past and new, her charismatic style on behalf of the a unique and smooth sensitive of the female perspective, and it is worth to study.In this thesis, it lists some of the Payton’s painting pictures and analyzed from three views to discuss. Firstly is the Payton’s characteristics of the portraiture and the technique of the performance, and then is Payton’s new understanding to aesthetics and analysis the beauty and fashion, the sense of privacy and dramatic in Payton’s paintings. Finally is the significance of Payton’s portraits and how her works influenced me in my creation.
