This paper takes the digital art museum on the time of Big Data as research object and study it from four aspects on classification, change, challenge and future. The author takes the attempts on the digital art museum in worldwide art museums and digital art project as case study. The paper extracts the way in which the digital art museum strengthens the experience of audience, diffuses the influence of public education on museum through sorting out numerous cases and develops more audience. Taking digital art museums as basement, making the policy of audience-oriented, using internet thoughts and big data, combing website, APP and interactive digital technology to improve the development of art museum from two aspects on aim and function. Besides, the author rethinks the phenomenon of digital art museum, discusses the challenge in the course of formation and development, faces the increasing prosperous new industry critically. In the end, the paper combines the art museum with intelligent city, takes digital art museum as the cultural entry to intelligent city, thus making city to be art museum.
