Criticism Of Critical Discourse In The Study Of Chinese Character And Logo Design

This article puts emphasis on virtual characteristics of transmission – the accuracy of information’s transmission. There are some problems through visual transmission which puts images as an intermediary about informational transmission by exposition and arrangement of some practical masterpieces and relative researches of theoretical works which reflect visual transmission. Some masterpieces and relative research far from true facts, which exaggerate the transmission’s function of images, show that the aforementioned transmission has ultra-language’s function.Some studies of representative designs to put Chinese characters as elements which is Chinese characters ‘symbol ignore the discrimination of Chinese characters and images and adapt the same mode in which it create new Chinese by means of original Chinese characters and makes images equate as language to utilize.Images and Chinese characters can transmit information to some extent, but there are different characteristics virtually between images and Chinese characters.The accuracy of informational transmission is the primary task in visual transmission, whose root is informational semantics’ formation. This article adopt Chinese characters which is close to be perfect in semantics system’s formation as a comparative target which makes some comparisons with images semantics’ formation. It explores how visual masterpieces are exposited and cognized accurately by human by means of analysis of visual cognition’s procedure. Finally it explores the accurate visual transmission in the angle of informational transmission’s accuracy and cognitive procedure through representative designs of visual masterpieces. This article is not only to establish the foundation of theory’s studies of visual transmission and critical system’s formation but also provide different consideration in different angles for practice of visual transmission’s designs on the basis of essential characteristics of visual transmission’s designs.
