Sofia Gubaidulina, the Russian female composer, enjoys an international fame on the contemporary world music, she is the most representative of the avant-garde composer and now is still active in worldwide music stage. In the meantime, she is a genuine Orthodox believers, thus, her music works shed the strong religious ideology all the time. Gubaidulina’s religious thought and her exploration of humanism, along with her life, embodied in her musical works. In this paper, starting from the composer’s creative style, religious thought, humanistic spirit and creative background, concentrates on the technical approach to her music to make readers profoundly understand her works.The first section of the treatise specifically analysize the modern music writing style of the twentieth century, Russian music, Gubaidulina’s music styles, religious ideas and creative background. Specially, it focuses on Gubaidulina’s music creative style as well as her works background. On the other hand, the clue of religious thought and the influence of humanistic spirit on Gubaidulina’s music styles, composer’s pursuit of the essence of music has been reflected in this paper. Her music exceeds the inner meaning of the music itself, her religious thought and humanistic spirit has been combined together, she uses symbolic language and musical integrity staggered structure to perform her religious ideas and musical aesthetic, focusing on the combination of rationality and emotions, actively looking for a balance between the two points, so that her music and religion can be more perfect combined.The Section II, III, and IV of the paper starts from the theory of composition techniques, demonstrates the organizational logic of music pitch, texture rhythm, musical orchestration and timbre characteristics and structural analysis, etc. This theory includes twelve semitones system, vertical and horizontal comparison of deterministic and non-deterministic pitch, cross applications, the comparison between strict and non-strict tempo rhythm, as well as the rhythm and multiple equalization, the natural control applications between the number of columns and Fibonacci number of columns, the cross structure, the comparison of conventional and unconventional playing method, soprano unique combination of a variety of techniques with other voices and sounds, both traditional and modern composition techniques, the great composers fix all these elements harmoniously to seek the comparison in unity, balance the rationality and emotions to form her own unique musical language.The last part of the paper is the conclusion, summarized Gubaidulina’s musical language, composition techniques as well as her religious ideas and the spirit of humanism which she has been pursuing. Gubaidulina often use symbolic language of music to express her religious thought, in order to describe this performance vividly, she almost applies all traditional and modern composition techniques. This kind of religious dedication and continuous exploration of music not only reflect her giant but also set an excellent example for us to learn and consider.
