On The Phonetic Study Of Dialects In Cities

Kaicheng town is located in the northwest of Wuwei county in Anhui Province(which belongs to the Yangtze river north shore plain in Anhui, administrative area is between north latitude 30°27’36"～31°30’48"21 "and the east longitude 117°28’～118°21’08"). Wuwei dialect belongs to Hongchao branch of Jianghuai Mandarin, according to its internal in phonetics, vocabulary, grammar and so on various aspects of differences, it is further divided into chengguan, dongxiang, Xinanxiang, Xibeixiang four small pieces. Kaicheng dialect phonetic system, which is this paper mainly describes, belongs to the Xibeixiang of Wuwei dialect. For Kaicheng dialect phonetic research, especially the detailed comprehensive phonetic system research, has not yet been found.In this paper, on the basis of the Dialect Word List, adopting the methods of combination of description, analysis and comparison, Kaicheng dialect phonetic system is described in full detail. From the synchronic and diachronic point of view, it focus on the comparison between Kaicheng dialect phonology and Beijing dialect phonology and the comparison between Kaicheng dialect phonology and Guangyun phonology, it also focus on the comparison between Kaicheng dialect and its neighboring dialect.The text contains five parts:First, Introduction, including geography, population, the general situation of the dialect, transcription and pronunciation partners.Second, the single word phonology, including comprehensive description of initials, vowels and tones of Kaicheng dialect, and the syllabary of homophones.Third, the comparison between Kaicheng dialect phonology and Guangyun phonology, the comparison between Kaicheng dialect phonology and Beijing dialect phonology.Four, a few special phonetic phenomena, including the tone sandhi of Two-word Group,in this paper, we discuss 13 special tone sandhi of Two-word Group phenomenon.The phenomena of variant pronunciation of colloquial and literary,because of some reasons, like the Mandarin penetrate it slowly, the influence of the neighboring dialects and some mistakes, Kaicheng dialect has rich and regular phenomenon of variant pronunciation of colloquial and literary.Five, the comparison between Kaicheng dialect and its neighboring dialect, like Tongling and Anqing.
