A Study On The Style Of Biography

Because biography always possesses its particular Stylistics features:historic, authentic, literary, so it is different from other literary forms, just like poetry, novels, plays, etc. That’s why it owns its special status and phylogeny. In the 1980s, the biography has entered a wonder ages of development, biographical literature appearing a diversified development trend, it has a greater breakthrough in the selection of the Stylistics and the main protagonist. However, among a number of outstanding writers of biography, Shi Nan gains her mark in the history of Chinese biographical literature in the new period due to her unique biography Stylistics, so her biographies are called "Shi Nan Stylistics" by critics. This paper aims to profoundly explore its basic stylistic features and analyze the value and the reasons by grasping the details and the macro for deepening the understanding of Shi Nan’s biography, comprehensively showing the value of its biography creation. In addition to the preface and conclusion, the text is divided into three chapters to expound specifically. Firstly, the introduction defines the main object of this study, the Stylistics of Shi Nan’s biography, roughly combing the development vein of Chinese biography Stylistics. Secondly, in order to gaps the weakness and shortcomings which still exists and reflecting the research value of this paper topics, the introduction also generalizes the Shi Nan’s main creation experience and creation performance, and respectively summarize the current status of the research on Shi Nan’s biography in the literary circles in the last twenty years.The text is divided into three chapters to discuss. The first chapter discourses the creation technique of novelization in detail from the viewpoint of Shi Nan’s creation concept, as in the aspect of the fictional dimension the romanticism of expression and the narrative skill to summarize the main stylistic features of "Shi Nan Stylistics".The second chapter discusses the main reasons of the becoming of the "Shi Nan Stylistics" on the aspects of subjective and objective. The subjective reason is owing to Shi Nan’s experience of creation, she created the works before gaining the theory knowledge about biography writing, which makes her biography Stylistics showing the traits of novels. Additionally, her female identity and life experience makes her biography distinctively reflecting the subjective consciousness. Besides, this chapter will place the Shi Nan’s biography creation in the context of the times to discuss the main reasons of the becoming of the "Shi Nan Stylistics" from an objective point of view.The third chapter discusses the value and the signification of the "Shi Nan Stylistics" for biography’s modernity transformation from the perspective of the breakthrough for Chinese traditional biography. Moreover, this chapter will elaborate the aesthetic effect and the impact on other biographers which the "Shi Nan Stylistics" generated.Finally. I will reaffirm the unique value of Shi Nan’s biography Stylistics and briefly discuss the limitations and shortcomings of this Stylistics on the basis of the previously discussed to expect she can create more excellent works...
