A Study Of Vocabulary And The Revision Of Chinese Dictionary

In the study of Chinese language history, the Tang Dynasty is a very important period. The notes novel Tang guo shi bu is written in the Tang dynasty by Li Zhao, which has a high historical value, the book is divided into up, middle and lower three volumes, A total of three hundred and eight section,but it is written only by about twenty-four thousand words. However, the book has a broad range of content, covering all aspects of political, economic, military, religious, ceremonial, cultural and social life, and it provides us a comprehensive understanding of the Tang Dynasty, which has an extremely important function and value. In addition, vocabulary in the book is rich, and it has a high value of linguistic research. Han yu da ci dian is a large and authoritative Chinese reference book, but there are also some omissions and missing. At present, the research of Han yu da ci dian has been attracting the attention of scholars, and it is a hot topic for the researchers to study.Therefore, the paper selects Tang guo shi bu as a corpus, and its vocabulary has been systematically studied, and the author has a comparative study with the Han yu da ci dian, pointing out the deficiencies of Han yu da ci dian entry in the collection, interpretation and documentary evidence etc., making recommendations in the hope of providing a reference value for the Han yu da ci dian repair and improvement.The thesis consists of six chapters, summarized as follows: the first chapter is preface. The preface introduces briefly Tang guo shi bu and its author, pointing out the cause and significance of choosing this research topic as well as the research methods. The second chapter is about Tang guo shi bu lexical features and research value,in which vocabulary features of Tang guo shi bu is summed up and the value and significance of this research papers is noted. The third chapter is about supplementary terms in "Tang Dynasty " to complement Han yu da ci dian,complementing entry in Tang guo shi bu which is not collected in Han yu da ci dian; the fourth chapter discusses the questionable interpretation between Tang guo shi bu terms and Han yu da ci dian terms, pointing out the questions of uncertainty and the missing of interpretation in Han yu da ci dian and proposing repair advice. The fifth chapter is that adding documentary evidence from Tang guo shi bu terms to Han yu da ci dian,pointing out the questions of not existing, single, lagging behind and long distance of documentary evidence in Han yu da ci dian. According to documentary evidence in Tang guo shi bu, more documentary evidences are added to Han yu da ci dian to complete it. The sixth chapter summarizes the basic ideas and innovation in the paper, pointing out the deficiency and prospect.
