This paper mainly focus on thepattern of the decorative pattern shells, using research methods typology oftortoiseshell patterns on1-9century AD under the influence of the silk tradeclassification, staging study, by analyzing the form and content of the shells andskeletons inside the grain skeleton and evolution, explore the origin andgeographical distribution problems. And through the study of shells across theborder patterns on the way to explore the western boundary of the pattern across theconceptual differences and performance.
