The expression and application of color improves gradually. Chinese painting is still in progress untill today. No matter in the West or the Orient, the fine arts history developed slowly compared with the past. The application of color was immature, which took a thousand year per stage. In the early stage, social productivity was underdeveloped. To build a pyramid needed enormous material and financial resources. As history evolution, social productivity improved as well as society. It took a hundred year per stage in the fine art history. People’s appreciation of color is becoming more rational and finally mature. With the high-speed social productivity developing and productive relations improving, the fine art history refused to be left behind. The variation process in painting turned to be plentiful. Rapid development and innovation could happen in decades. In this period, the unknown impressionism became quite popular in the 19th century, which promoted us to feel the color instead of soy color. After the Wei and Jin dynasties, Chinese painting went through cave painting to silk painting on meticulous brushwork figure. During the late Song Dynasty and the early Yuan Dynasty, ink and wash painting was springing up as well as other genres. Everything is in evolution.People were getting more sensitive to color, they used sharp eyes to use and create color. In modern times,a few years means to a new stage of fine art history. Chinese painting can not go along without using color. Nowadays, artists using color just like climbing, the higher altitude, the more steps, which you could never see the end. However, it maybe the charm of color, which accompanying with Chinese painting’s development and variation, and will which never stop. Using color is the same as performing magic. I believe the expression and application of color in Chinese painting will become more glorious and brilliant.
