| Everyone has five senses, but in the different languages used by different nationalities and living environment, the five-senses-words’meaning and usage have a big difference. In this paper, author uses the knowledge of cognitive linguistics, structural linguistics and other disciplines, by Comparing and analyzing the meaning and the main way of word formation of Chinese and Uighur five-senses-words, to identify the similarities and differences between them. This paper is divided into seven chapters, roughly classified into three parts:The firstly, describing the meaning of the selected topics, summarizing previous experiences and lessons and defines the range of five-senses-words Finally, five-senses-words were been identified. They are "eyebrow-qas", "ocular (eye)-koz", "nose -burun", "oral (mouth)-eγiz", "ear -qulaq".The secondly, clearly defines the basic meaning of Chinese five-senses-words and Uyghur five-senses-words, and then starts from the perspective of metaphor, finds the metaphorical meaning of Chinese five-senses-words and Uyghur five-senses-words. From the perspective of structural linguistics, analyzing the word formation and scope of five-senses-words, contrasting the basic meaning and the metaphorical meaning of Chinese five-senses-words and Uighur five-senses-words, analyzes and summarizes the similarities and differences between them. After this, comparing the main word formation of Chinese five-senses-words and Uyghur five-senses-words vocabulary facial features were, summed up the specific similarities and differences. Because of the diversity of languages, a language represents the same meaning more than one word. So, not only needs to compare Chinese and Uighur, also compares the words that have same meaning in the same language, and strive to improve.Thirdly, summary the text and conclude that five-senses-words is used very widely. In Chinese and Uighur language, In addition to the basic meaning, five-senses-words are derived from a variety of metaphorical meaning, the basic meaning of Chinese five-senses-words and Uighur five-senses-words are similar. The metaphors meaning expressed pictographic, similarly function, emotional and psychological are similar. But involves deeper metaphorical meaning, such as written and terminology have a big difference. The word formation of Chinese five-senses-words and Uyghur five-senses-words have similarities and differences, five-senses-words can be interconnected with each other. Nouns, ADJectives and verbs can be added in the front or after five-senses-words. Compared Uyghur, When connective with verbs, Chinese five-senses-words are more flexible and have written and spoken words. Uyghur five-senses-words are more involved in animal husbandry. |
