On The Rural Writing Of Fei Ming 's Novels

Fei Ming’s pastoral novels successfully combine idyllic description and human being’s ordinary life together, which forms a unique world with diluted, moderate, harmonious and simple atmosphere. The work shows the unique artistic characteristics of the author himself. Throughout his rural novels, the works are always embodies the love of nature, respect for life, praise for humanity, which fully infiltrate his profound experience and heartfelt care for life. Based on the analysis of existing academic achievements, this paper is aim to present and research on Fei Ming rural world reflected in his idyllic novels by use of the method of text analysis, comparative analysis:The introduction part briefly makes a survey to the history and current situation of the research on Fei Ming’s novels, and then put forward research ideas and methods, purpose and meaning of the thesis.The first chapter is by means of close reading, respectively from three aspects: the tranquil and harmonious rural countryside, natural and plain images of characters and unique traditional folk customs. It serves as a comprehensive survey of the rural world in Fei Ming’s pastoral novels, which reveals the natural world, human world and the folk world of the novel.The second chapter focuses on Fei Ming’s main points of views and opinions which mentioned among works, interpreting the aesthetic connotation he has been pursued in the process of writing in his village, that is, the natural beauty, beauty of artistic conception and detached beauty.The third chapter explores an "alternative" rural writing style of Fei Ming’s work and tries to trace to the resources from two aspects: internal and external causes.The fourth chapter explains spiritual essence and significance of Fei Ming’s rural writing. His way of literary creation shows an ideal country world, who lives in " land of idyllic beauty" and realizes his spiritual transcend in a construction of a "village".
