This Thesis bases on the research about the errors of the students who come from English-speaking countries and when they acquire Neng(能)、Hui(会)and Keyi(可以)in the corpus of HSK of Beijing Language and Culture University,and comparing English and Chinese to arrange and analyze the statistics of those errors.Introduction is about the importance and scope of this research,origin of words and a general overview of can-wish verbs.The opening chapter is about comparing Neng(能)、Hui(会)and Keyi(可以)and“can”on the semantic and syntax categories.Chapter two contains a detailed account of the steps of error-research,and describes the results of arranging and analyzing the statistics of errors which are made by English-speaking students,then explains the reasons why they make those errors.Chapter three I offered some suggestions contain three main aspects which about professional ability of teachers、teaching materials and students,and some teaching strategies which include contrastive analysis and cognitive method in the class of TCSL about Neng(能)、Hui(会)and Keyi(可以).The last part is conclusion which sums up this thesis that bases on the aim of resolving problems in the TCSL classes about Neng(能)、Hui(会)and Keyi(可以).I hope my study can be an useful reference material.
