This paper is with the theme of "labor" which is an important theme of Mongolian novel during "17years", as a research object, expands the theme, and makes a preliminary sort and induction, after close reading of related works.The paper includes the introduction part, the body, the conclusion part, bibliography’s and appendixes. The introduction part mainly explains the narrative reasons, social background, literature review, the aim of study, the method of study and related research metis rails of "labor"---the important theme of Mongolian novel during "17years". The chapter one is divided into three sections to narrate the brief introduction of "labor" in Mongolian novel "17years" according to the time order. The first section is the basically completed stage of socialism (1949—1956), in this period it covers less labor theme. The second section is the era of rectification movement and the Great Leap Forward (1957—1960), the number of labor novel is gradually increased, contents become plentiful, and it is the development stage of "labor" novel. The third section is the preceding era of The Great Leap Forward and "cultural revolution", (1960—1966), when the "labor" novels are developed to the climax.In chapter two, the "labor" mode is divided into three sections, and the status of "labor" in the novels is analyzed. Chapter three, describes the effect of "labor" in the Mongolian novel during "17years", and the effect to readers, through labor narration, the author depicts the images of the masses of working people, (such as farmers, herdsmen, soldiers, workers, students and children). Appendix is the catalogue indexes of "labor novel" in the era of Mongolian novels in 17 years.
