Interior monologue plays a crucial function when the dancer is creating a role in his/her performing by acting as the psychological factor that can influence the dancer’s performance. However, it tends that the dancer’s interior monologue was ignored by himself/herself and replaced by performing with habituation and without wholeheartedness. This paper is trying to analyze the theory of psychological process of actors creating roles in a drama, and apply this kind of theory into the research of the dancer’s interior monologue in the dance drama of “the Pretty Woman with Double Character of Water: Soft and Powerful”, then come to the conclusion that it is so important to the dancer to explore the role’s psychological development and to create a role by using of interior monologue in his/her performing. |
