| Beidahuang engraving is one of the distinctive China engraving. But some research on it was made mainly in the 1980 s, the special and deep study of its value and achievements was very made rarely. From the perspective of aesthetics, this paper discusses development of Beidahuang engraving, summarizes the three generations of Beidahuang engraving with Beudahuangese spirit of " magnificence†" breeding the magnificence of artworks, which is the core of artistic characteristics and inheritance. And the same time the paper also analyzes the evolution of Beidahuang engraving from "magnificence" to "beauty", its impact on modern and contemporary Chinese aesthetics and its own deficiencies and the causes of deficiencies. In order to spread and expand the Aesthetic significance of Beidahuang engraving, in the end the writer expresses her concerns and contemplation development of Beidahuang engraving in future, wishing the unique spirit and lasting appeal of Beidahuang engraving would have continuous innovation and development. |
