Vocabulary teaching occupies a significant place in language process. It is not only the basic content of language teaching, but also the key component in language classroom. In rece nt years, more and more attention and concentration have been paid to the Chinese vocabulary teaching in the field of teaching Chinese as a foreign language. Therefore, how to obtain a bet ter result in Chinese vocabulary teaching becomes the key in the research of the teaching Chin ese as a foreign language process.This research is based on the author’s teaching experience in Bulacan State University in Philippine.The author first reviewed the current Chinese vocabulary teaching and learning res earches at home and abroad. Then, the author investigated the Chinese vocabulary teaching an d learning in Bulacan State University. Afterwards, a corpus of Chinese vocabulary mistakes usually made by Philippine students who learnt Chinese were collected and analyzed. Based o n this analysis, the author investigated the students in Bulacan State University by a questionn aire. A further discussion was made on the methods of how to teach the Philippine students C hinese vocabulary. This research intends to improve the teaching effects of Chinese vocabular y in Bulacan State University.
