A Study On The Motif Classification Of Mythology In Shan Hai Jing

"The motif" is a concept, put forward the western literary and art circles in early eighteenth Century twentieth Century, Sidi Thompson "motif index" was published, the motif study as a new research direction of folk literature. By the motif study, can not only from a region in the evolution of a motif, see the integration development of folk literature and history and culture; also can from different regions and between, similarities and differences with a motif, exchange and derived horizontal alignment of culture. However, because the data are few and not comprehensive enough, and the classification of tedious, logic confusion, index system of Thompson is not completely adapt to the characteristics of Chinese myth, even to study the inconvenience. The 2013 publication of "Chinese myth motif index", Yang Lihui and Zhang Chengfu on the basis of Thompson’s classification, combined with years of study on China myth, make it become a more consistent with the characteristics of China myth, suitable for domestic myth motif research works. And "ShanHaiJing" as China’s ancient myth of the largest number of preserving books, there are China myth yuan house known, different from the Western creation myth, mythology the gods of war logic strict system, "ShanHaiJing" mythology showed an extremely soil characteristics personally nature, keep more simple features prehistoric times. This paper is divided into six chapters, to analyze the "classification" ShanHaiJing motif in nature mythology. The first chapter introduces the purpose, significance of this research, main contents and research methods; the second chapter from the author, the age of creation myth, characteristics of several aspects of recent years "research" ShanHaiJing reviewed; the third chapter introduced the concept introduced motif, motif classification used in this paper "China myth motif index" in the book; the fourth chapter carries on ShanHaiJing motif classification of natural mythology, and combined with the text analysis; the fifth chapter from the original thinking, philosophy, religion and farming civilization traditional aspects, reflect the analysis "ShanHaiJing" in numerous natural God words the psychology of national culture and historical tradition; the sixth chapter analysis "influence" on the later poems, ShanHaiJing myth prose, novels and literary form development.
