A Study On The Production Mechanism Of Chinese Literature In The New Media

Since the new century, China has gradually entered a “new media” era. A variety of digital information and communication platforms have dramatically changed the traditional way of production and dissemination of literature, the way of creation and acception and the way of people’s daily life, which has brought many unprecedented new literary phenomenon. Changes caused by the new media reflect the changing in literary production mechanism of the whole society’s main production activities and organizational forms, ideas of creation and manifestations of contemporary Chinese literature, publication and dissemination channels, ways of reception and criticism and literary life. New media involvement in literary activities affects the development trend of Chinese contemporary literature. This essay will research on four important parts of mechanism of literature production from producion, creation, dissemination to communicaiton in the “new media” era, closely linking to the historical process of socail development. This paper tries to discover and conclude the new literary phenomenon and gives its own judgement in the changing political, economic and culrual environment, comparing to the history of Chinese contemporary production mechanism’s evolution.This paper argues that the production of Chinese literature after entering the “new media” era is affected by political and economic power and by the intervention of science and technology. New digital media has created a new platform of production and dissemination, acceptance and evaluation, enriched the traditional elements of literature. The free organizational forms break up the “integrated” system and the main literary activities achieve the transition from elite to ordinarary people. A variety of literary societies spontaneously create in private. The ideas of writers’ creation, the content of the work, and the art form have changed, emerging the prosperous of the type of literature, “small narrative” and “super long”. Aesthetic quality is sublime and beautiful, funny and ugly. Digital media brings new opportunities for literature writing and dissemination. “Light reading” is a new orientation and the general public participate in literary criticism. It is also a time to rethink the standard of literary criticism.From the media’s perspective on literature study of literary production mechanism in the information age is a difficult academic problem. From any single facet to discuss the contemporary literary activities is inadequate. We recognize that literature is neither the creation of personal conduct, nor an isolated spiritual existence. Research on the mechanism of contemporary literary production of “new media” age will help us have a clearer understanding of the contemporary literary scene.
