Number representation is the basis of the human mathematical ability, the studyin the past few decades has been an important field of cognitive science. In the studyof number representation has been found that in the process of number representation, there are two different systems: the precise characterization of decimal system(subitizing) and the approximate representation system of large number (counting).Estimate the former mainly reflect ability, while the latter reflects the number ofprecise calculation ability. Past research think that a sense of subitizing is a formernote of parallel processing, but in recent years, some number of subsequent studieshave found that feeling is also need to pay attention to the resource. So far, has beennoticing resource hypothesis still cannot effectively explain specific separation senseof subitizing and counting. This study will adopt a series of experiments, aims to study whether thesubitizing sense is consumed noticing resources, namely noticing mechanism isinvolved in several process, for further research to provide a more detailed theoreticaland empirical basis. Experiment one use the noticing such as Awh transientexperimental paradigm, through SOA to control attention load control, aimed toexplore whether there is a note in the sense of several mechanisms of involvement;Experiment two, by KaoChaDian set of images to identify the mission, aims toexplore when the object is1, and object number is2,3, noticing mechanism isdifferent; Experiment three, this study adopts the visual spatial attention paradigmwith the complementary of instantaneous velocity of the counting continues toexplore whether there is a pay attention to the mechanism in the process of numbersense to participate in, to a certificate at the same time with the experiment one,Subitizing sense takes noticing resources, namely, attention is involved in subitizingsense, so as to further explore counting and subitizing for whether to use the samenoticing mechanism. This study gets the following conclusion:In the sense of several mechanisms need to be paid attention to in the process of participation. When judge object is1, and object number is2,3, noticing mechanism is not thesame, the former does not need to pay attention to the mechanism of participation, thelatter needs. In the process of counting and the sense of subitizing, each using the noticing ofthe mechanism is not the same.
