An Experimental Study On The Pronunciation Of Nanchang Dialect In Jiangxi Province

This article starts from the perspective of experimental phonetics to research theconsonants, phonological rules of Nanchang phonetic system，vowels and tones. Andmade some comparison with the Mandarin phonetic systemAt present, there are a lot of researching about the Nanchang phonetic systemand some of them had also made great achievements, but there do exits a lot ofproblems, such as the former studies solely relied on traditional voice analysis methodto record voice sound and the researcher always depends on their hearing ability tomade the judgement of the tone. That always leading to that some syllablesdescription inevitably concludes subjective speculation, which is lack of science. Forthe above reasons. In this essay, I will use the speech analyzer software to record thevoice and by using of scientific software to analyse the syllable waveform,spectrogram. Through the different syllables punch straight, pattern and voiced strongfrequency region to determine the nature of syllables. It also used on the Mandarinsystem for analysis. Then visually compare Nanchang phonetic system and Mandarinfrom the graph, and then find out the similarities and differences between them.Through an intuitive graphical comparison of the displayed data, it reveals theNanchang dialect basic characteristics of voice systems clearly, compare to thoseformer researching, conclusions here becomes more clear and easy to understand.Itwill help more people to get interested in Nanchang dialect, and then learn it,protect it.Via the comparison with Putonghua, it also will help people who is belong to theNanchang dialect system,to identify the error while learning Mandarin,especially forthe pronunciation correction, It will also be a great benefit for the promotion ofMandarin.
