A Study On The Changes Of Chinese Hand - Painted Animation

Living in digital age, we get much information at really high speed. And as an information carrier, pictures are becoming more and more favorable for its outstanding performance on expression of life. Animation in turn enjoys more and more popularity for the dynamic pictures. Hand-drawn animation as an important kind of animation attracts more and more scholar’s attention, and more studys on it come into being now. Chinese hand-drawn animation plays a significant role in the history of Chinese animation. It has been the mainstream of Chinese animation from the day it first made appearance in China until the introduction of computer in1990s. So, what makes hand-drawn animation the mainstream for so long and survive in this computer age. This is worthy of further study.This paper studies the historical development of hand-drawn animation, sets out the hand-drawn animation works and sums artistic charm and features of the available works. The paper also gives the development features in different political and economic background of different periods of time. Finally, borrowing some animation, aesthetic and historical principles, the paper explores the artistic value and economic value out of an examining vision of culture. All these give a new understanding and find the strategic position for hand-drawn animation in the digital age, so as to attach practical importance in hand-drawn animation.
