The current historical theories have agreed on that the so-called objective and certain history is merely unilateral imagination of contemporaries. History is the product of artificial construction, hence the alleged "authenticity" cannot be the reflection of the true fact, but a result from various present elements. Consequently, the attempt to set "authenticity" as the standard for historical presentation by public history researches and practices, although in a popularized and interesting way, still only a simplification and disguise for the question. From the critic perspective of view, this practice deviates from the initial intention of public historians. From the perspective of ideology, authority, epistemology, and art theory, this paper discusses a new way for history presentation:"the open history", where the public are endowed with the right to construct the history, thus free from the political troubles in history contexts. With an open writing format, this new way of history presentation will facilitate the thinking pattern of public. In deepen sense,"the open history" will prove its validity in a larger scale based on its free concept and orientation. Last but not least, in the contexts of art theories, this paper demonstrates several possible approaches for "the open history" presentation, hopefully to be a referral in practice.
