| During the Chinese acquisition process, human beings’cognitive process is very important. Mental lexicons uncertainty makes research very difficult. This research applies a new method-guessing word activity as an experiment way, design a few word guessing experiments with three groups respectively; Japanese, European and Chinese. By recording the learner’s language output and processing time to analyze second language learner’s mental lexicon and vocabulary acquisition’s regularity. Among them, due to the different levels of second language learners, there are different forms of syntax errors in the process of description; learners who come from different countries will adopt different strategies and different native language encoding conversions. It reflects different cognitive strategies as well. So we are trying to use the recording material, combined with Psychology cognitive connectionism theory to analyze the brain cognitive model and vocabulary building situation. Through the language learner’s expression to explore their mental lexicon links, further analysis of second language learner’s vocabulary knowledge. We divide the article into six chapters. The first chapter is the general introduction; it states the reason to choose this topic and its significance. It also explains the theoretical method basis and ways of research. The second chapter is a literature review. We are focusing on vocabulary acquisition, semantic field, frame semantics, psychology language learning, cognitive science and guess words activity itself those part to make review. We made overall statement about research. The third chapter explains the word guessing experiment and its design. It also illustrates the vocabulary knowledge of mental lexicon, explains the purpose of design guessing words experiment and its process (including the experiment participants, experimental method and the target words). We also did the experimental results hypothesis at the end of this chapter. The fourth chapter is experimental results’ analysis. This chapter is divided into five sections. The first three are nouns, verbs and adjective respectively. We analyze the experimental recording materials from Japan, Europe and China; then contrast three groups’ perspectives to analyze the connection extent of each word, especially high frequency words. Since second language learners come from different nationalities with different levels, in4th and5th section, we did further analysis in terms of output language’s quality and time. The fifth chapter is the overall discussion and enlightenments. We have four sections in this chapter. The First Section is overall comparison with three groups of target words where we analyze high-frequency words and words connection commonality. Section2is comparison verification. We use the experimental results to verify our hypothesis. Section3is the summary about second language learners’ strategy. We summarize cognitive strategies’regularity. Section4is the enlightenment for teaching. We discuss ways to improve teaching combining the discovery we found in this research. The sixth chapter is the conclusion. We review the findings of this research, assert teaching suggestions and discuss its shortcomings. |
